Ahtolaiset
Ahti. From the editorial shoot for Nina Lahtinen's clothes in Espoo forest. This was done at the early autumn time. While scouting locations before starting the shoot, we were momentarily lost in woods. Never venture into woods without map & compass... :)

Making of photos & one video:
Mercurial weather.
It was day with mixed weather & surprise challenges. Weather was everything from sunshine to heavy rain. We had to wait some time inside grill shelter that raining would end. At the end of day, most of the camera & lighting gear were damp. Once I finally got back to home after long day in woods, I had to leave some of lighting gear around the apartment to dry over the following night. Need to get more of those silica gels and stuff the camera & lighting bags full of them... I also broke my D300 during the shoot. Stuck mirror problems which you don't like to happen while taking photos, but I managed to take all photos with main body. Switching the lens to manual focus and taking photo was solution to release the stuck mirror. (update: fixing the mirror mechanism for D300 was over 300€, uh..)
Last frames were done in darkness. Modeling light helped to focus and also provided illumination when we packed the things after shoot. This was also the first time I managed to empty Pro-7B battery and that was just because of constant use of modeling light at the end of shoot. Kudos to models for staying in lukewarm water.
