Downloaded the Lightroom 5 beta version for laptop to test it out. New version comes with added useful features like smart previews, radial gradient (used in photo above), healing brush, automatic straightening tool etc. Smart preview can be really useful if you want to edit files with low capacity laptop HD and keep the space consuming RAW originals somewhere else until they are really needed. Whether the upgrade is really needed depends more of your camera purchases in future. If you want to work with RAW files of your brand new camera, better to keep on updating LR & PS.
